Are you tired of getting sunburned on public transportation because you sat on the wrong side of the bus? Then this app is for you!
HotSeat tells you which side of the bus you should sit on to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during most of the ride, to avoid getting sunburned or even getting skin cancer due to extreme amounts of exposure. In the winter, it can be used to defrost and warm up by sitting on the sunny side of the bus.
Simply enter your bus route ("from" location and "to" destination) and the time of day you will be travelling, and the app will tell you which side of the bus the sun will shine on for most of the ride. It is not possible to avoid sunlight entirely since the bus may drive in routes that are not in the same overall direction. However, it is possible to greatly reduce exposure to the sun with this app.
HotSeat gathers its locations from Google Places API and FourSquare Venues API. The maximum search radius at this time is 100KM from your current location.
Permissions:
GPS - HotSeat needs this permission to display locations around you.
Internet - HotSeat needs this permission to search for locations and to serve you banner ads at the bottom of the screen (to cover development costs).
